Here's a fun fact about animals! "Roosters prevent themselves from going deaf due to their own loud crowing, by tilting their head backs when they crow, which covers their ear canal completely, serving as a built-in ear-plug." (Animal Facts)

So, where's the intersection between CS and animals? Well, there's a new emerging field called Animal-Computer Interaction, similar to Human-Computer Interaction, but, obviously, with animals! One researcher is developing software to tell humans what horses are thinking and why they act the way they do. Pretty cool, right? To read more about this project, click here.
